Ten highly regarded movies are on the list of best picture nominees, which was revealed on February 8: "Belfast," "Coda," "Don't Look Up," "Drive My Car," "Dune," "King Richard," "Licorice Pizza," "Nightmare Alley," "The Power of the Dog," and "West Side Story" are some examples of films that fit this description.


With 12 nominations overall—including best film, best director, and nominations for its major stars, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, and Kodi Smit-McPhee—"The Netflix's Power of the Dog" took the top spot. The first woman to receive two nominations for best director was Jane Campion. The Best Picture award, however, went to the audience favourite "CODA."
