It breaks my perception of the genre. It differs from the social humour that I typically watch and doesn't have a point to make. Pure excitement is present. Ayushmann Khurrana stated, "It's like riding on a roller coaster.
The upcoming film "An Action Hero," according to actor Ayushmann Khurrana, is distinct from his "staple genre of social-comedy," and he hopes the audience will embrace him in this new setting. The movie, which is billed as a polished actioner with a quirky satirical sense of humour, follows an artist's journey both in front of and behind the camera. Khurrana portrays Manav, an action figure who flees for his life while Bhura Solanki (Jaideep Ahlawat) seeks revenge for his brother's unsolved death.
According to the actor, "An Action Hero" may be his first movie without a social message. He is most known for his roles in "Shubh Mangal Saavdhan," "Badhaai Ho," and "Dream Girl."
It breaks my perception of the genre. It differs from the social humour that I typically watch and doesn't have a point to make. Pure excitement is present. It is an exhilarating experience," the actor told reporters on Thursday night.
The story of an amazing man in a commonplace circumstance is told in this movie. The desire for vengeance is a common emotion, but the plot revolves around how a celebrity would react if he were to find himself in that common circumstance, said Khurrana.
Ahlawat, who starred in "Pataal Lok," stated he like "An Action Hero's" script.
"You won't be able to identify the protagonist or antagonist. Everyone has a different motivation for doing things. I never viewed the guy as a villain since I knew why he was supporting Ayushmann, the speaker continued.
Anirudh Iyer, who previously worked as an assistant director on "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" and "Zero" by Aanand L Rai, is in charge of directing the movie. The movie's script was written by Neeraj Yadav.
Iyer claimed that because "An Action Hero" has numerous layers, the team did not approach it just as an actioner.
It is a lot more than just an action movie. There is action, suspense, and humour. He (Khurrana) ends up acting because of the circumstances, the filmmaker claimed.
The tension between two strong men is examined in the movie, according to Rai, who is producing it under his Colour Yellow Production.
After realising the script wasn't going to be an action movie, we felt we should consult Ayushmann first because he enjoys a variety of topics. In order to get Jaideep to give us dates for the second role, we pursued him up until that point, said Rai.
"An Action Hero," which will be released in theatres on December 2, was produced by Colour Yellow Production and Bhushan and Krishan Kumar's T-Series.
Since the movie discusses how unstable both life and the entertainment industry can be, according to Khurrana, it is timely.
"The audience, the media, and the business world will all be able to relate to the story. The actor spoke about "the fickle nature of the industry and life... Like if you are at the top how people treat you and if you are at a low period then how do people treat you, how does media react to it.
Additionally, he dismissed rumours of Akshay Kumar's involvement as a guest star in "An Action Hero".
There are a few details about our movie that we don't want to share, but whoever we work with on it, it will be entertaining, added Khurrana.
