The 10 Missions in Fast & Furious Where Dom Should Have Died but Survived - Part 1

There are countless Fast & Furious scenes where Dominic Toretto shouldn't have survived, such as when he drives off a cliff or jumps off a bridge.

Fast X has another more reason to get you excited because Vin Diesel has teased it by posting a picture of Dominic Torretto's 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS on his social media accounts. Since the main character last drove it in Fast & Furious (2009), there is a good reason why it is returning.

Fans can anticipate Dom to risk his life by participating in the riskiest missions once more. No matter how often he shows off his daredevil skills, he can be expected to live because the franchise isn't about to expire just yet. Since Dominic Toretto is involved, nothing awful has happened despite multiple occasions where the heist king really ought to have killed.

Escape From Mose Jakande (Furious 7)

Dom finds himself surrounded by Mose Jakande and his goons at the cliff's edge after saving Ramsey. Surprisingly, he reverses over the cliff and plunges to the ground below, but he and Ramsey survive unharmed.

Since there are so few known instances of someone driving off a cliff and surviving, it serves as the best illustration of how narrative armour can obscure reality. Given how extensively the car is wrecked, a more plausible scenario would have Dom and Ramsey being in the hospital for several months. Oddly, none of that occurs because the two still have a lot of work to accomplish at the time the events take place.

Owen Shaw Pursuit (Furious 6)

After Owen Shaw steals a military tank, Dom and his men pursue him across a highway bridge. Dom rams his Dodge Charger into the edge of the opposing highway as Letty is in danger of going off, then shoots himself into the air, catches her, and lands on the other side.

The sole purpose of the scene is to further enhance the cool factor of one of the greatest movie pairings and to portray Dom as a real badass. The professional driver maintains that he merely took a chance because the Physics of it all are absurd. Dom succeeds in avoiding falling off the bridge and falls safely on top of another vehicle. The likelihood of his being fortunate twice in real life, though, is zero. He might have been killed if he had either fallen off the bridge or landed on the tarmac instead of the car.

The Retrieval Of God's Eye (Furious 7)

In one of the priciest Fast & Furious vehicles (the Jordanian prince's 2013 Lykan Hypersport) in order to recover the God's Eye software hidden in a chip. In an Abu Dhabi penthouse, Dom makes the decision to drive it out. He crashes through two skyscrapers after the brakes fail, but he manages to exit the vehicle just in time for it to hit the earth below.

Even though Dom is an excellent driver, he cannot fly. He is helpless to prevent the flying car from colliding with a wall partition and falling to the ground below instead of landing safely on the level of each building. Still, that is what occurs, and despite the chaos, he and Brian still manage to take out God's Eye before getting out of the car. The prince merely loses $3.4 million from his net worth as a result, and no lives are lost.

Escape From Montequinto (Fast 9)

Dom drives down a cliff while being pursued by the military in Montequinto and utilises a rope to slingshot his car to the other cliffside. Thus, he makes a successful getaway.

It's hardly surprising that not many reviews thought well of the ninth instalment, which is possibly the most ludicrous. In this case, there is no reason for Dom to endanger his life because being apprehended by the military is a much better outcome than sliding off a cliff. There are also no guarantees that the car would swing to the other side securely given its weight. Additionally, there are no assurances regarding the cable's robustness. However, as this occurs early in the film, Dom must continue to live.
